Oowatanite, everything'll be alright! - April Wine

On April 25, Howard Graphic Equipment and K-North held a combined celebration of their anniversaries marked by a one-of-a-kind gala reception - People, Passion & Print. In the words of one of April Wine’s greatest hits - Oowatanite - what a night it was.

Thank you for making the evening truly a special celebration of People, Passion and Print.  Amidst the glitz and magic - it was a celebration of the legacy that began 40 years ago, a celebration of the people, past and present, who have together made it possible for Howard Graphic Equipment to be a dominant force in the industry today. We celebrate the extraordinary achievement by K-North which since its inception in 2003 has supplied and installed 36 Komori presses and successfully revived the Komori brand in Canada.

The focal point of the night was the official introduction of the all new Komori Lithrone S29 press to Canada. In just about a year after its launch, six machines have been installed and more reported sold.

Passion - for the tradition, the craft, and the music - was clearly evident throughout the evening's performances - starting with the Yakudo Traditional Japanese Drummers, MC Rick Rossini - the Magical Motivator, Canadian legend Rick Mercer, and the legendary rock band April Wine.

Thanks to the generosity of the guests, donors, the hard work by our staff and volunteers, we raised in excess of $10,500 for the Special Olympics.

It was quite a night that will be long remembered by all in attendance. Oowatanite.
